Chow Wheels is a directory that helps people find food trucks. This page explains what personal data we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

If you are looking for food

• Your location. When you tap “Find trucks near me”, your phone shares its position with this page so we can sort trucks by distance. This happens in your browser. We do not store your location or send it to our database.
• Searches and taps. We count page views and taps on Directions, Call and Share for each truck, without your name, phone number or location, so owners can see how the listing helps them. We use Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager to see how the site is used overall.
• Reports and requests. If you report wrong information or ask for trucks in your area, we store what you type, the pincode, and a phone or WhatsApp number only if you choose to give one. We use the number only to follow up on that report or request, and to limit spam.

If you list a food truck

• We store your login email, truck details, menu, photos, opening hours, spots, phone number and FSSAI number.
• Your phone number is shown to customers only if you turn on the Call button.
• We keep a record of payments you make to us and of changes made to your listing, for accounts and support.

Who else handles the data

We use Supabase to store data and Vercel to run the website, and Google for login (if you choose Google), analytics and maps links. They process data for us under their own terms. We do not sell personal data.

Payments

Customers pay food trucks directly. Chow Wheels does not collect or handle customers’ money or payment details.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent, by messaging us. We reply within 7 working days. Truck owners can also edit their listing at any time from the dashboard.

How long we keep it

Reports and requests are kept for up to 12 months. Truck listings are kept while the truck is on Chow Wheels and deleted on request after it leaves, except records we must keep for tax and accounts.
